Dior brengt ode aan de Chinese waaier
In januari stelde modehuis Dior zijn couture voor de lente al eens voor in Musée Rodin in Parijs. Daarna werd de hele collectie, geïnspireerd door het surrealisme, overgevlogen naar Shangai, waar ze uitgebreid werd met twaalf ontwerpen die met hun laagjes en plooien vooral de vorm van Chinese waaiers imiteren. Dat de meeste jurken vuurrood zijn, is geen toeval: rood is in China de kleur van het geluk én het was ook de lievelingskleur van Christian Dior zelf.
